OnBase Engineer (Full Time)

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is instrumental in developing efficiencies for Discovery Benefits by utilizing OnBase technology to enhance and improve business processes by creating and customizing a workflow and content management system. Effective written and oral communication with subject matter experts and between departments is required to ensure the success of deployment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • OnBase Requirements
    • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of OnBase Workflows to ensure optimum operating levels and minimal downtime.

    • Complete projects as assigned and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
    • Verbalize and demonstrate knowledge of procedures for maintaining security, confidentiality, and integrity of employees’ and customer information.
    • Consider impact on other departments when making technology decisions or recommendations.
    • Establish standards and document procedures for the installation and maintenance of new and existing workflow implementations.
    • Provide support services to end users having problems or questions.
    • Provide training, one-on-one or in a larger setting, as necessary.
    • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
    • Work flexible hours to include after hours and weekends as needed to support OnBase.
    • All other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of OnBase experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the administration of OnBase, Workflow, and WorkView is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with OnBase HTML eForms, VBScript technology, Web Services (SOA), Structured Query Language (SQL) and .NET is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a personal commitment to the principles, core values, ethics, mission and vision statements of the organization.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate concepts that are clear and concise to both end users and developers.
  • Must have the ability to listen, evaluate and exercise independent judgment.

  • Must possess basic knowledge of information flow, if-then-else concepts, basic rendezvous and cause-effect concepts.
