Senior Operations Specialist (Full Time)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Operations Specialist is responsible for managing and processing operational tasks for the large clients. The Senior Operations Specialist also serves as a point of contact for the Senior Account Manager. Operational processes impact all departments, therefore open communication is crucial. As a leader in the organization, the company’s mission, vision and core values need to be embraced and lived.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain accurate employer and participant plan details.
    • Ensure data entry accuracy.
    • Create, update, and maintain employer plans.
    • Process all incoming and outgoing file types.
    • Process applicable forms and requests.
    • Communicate with other teams as necessary to resolve account discrepancies.
  • Work with your team and other departments to ensure a positive customer experience.
    • Create efficiencies and improving processes for employers, consultants and third-party carriers/vendors.
    • Continuous improvement approach to work.
    • Communicate changes needed to processes.
    • Continuous learning and sharing of knowledge.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
    • Assist department supervisor with special projects.
    • Develop and update administrative procedures as needed.
    • Review and update administrative forms and guides as needed.
    • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of Section 125 administrative processes and procedures
  • Understanding of HIPAA/HITECH and Privacy Regulations
  • Understanding of COBRA regulations.
  • Knowledge of administrative software
  • Customer service experience and benefit experience typically acquired in one to two years.
  • Computer proficiency required.
